Networking Tips to Amplify Your Personal Brand

One of the many advantages of building your brand is the opportunity to network. And not just a network, but build relationships that can truly skyrocket you to the next level. When you build your personal brand and put yourself out there, you begin to function at a frequency that attracts only others who share your values.

Here are some networking techniques to assist you boost your personal brand and make the most of the relationships you currently have. So, read on.

1) POSITION YOURSELF AS A PERSON OF VALUE

To begin, in order to attract valuable people while networking and establishing your personal brand, you must present yourself as a person of value. You must be appealing to them. This is why you must be intentional about everything you put out there regarding your personal brand; your visuals, pictures, and videos – let them scream quality, because people only want to associate with quality. They only want to be associated with those who are achieving incredible things. So position and brand yourself in an appealing manner.

Don’t take whatever you put out into the media space for granted. You have no idea who is going to listen to you. You have no idea who is going to watch that video. You have no idea who will read the article you upload on your blog or on your social media platforms. People will want to connect with you based on how much value you bring to the table. Put only your best foot forward.

As you do this, the individuals you actually want to connect with will reach out to you.

There are folks engaging with me who I wanted to engage with long before I got intentional about my brand. Now, they’re the ones saying, “Blessing, I can see the amazing stuff you’re doing online and I really want to connect with you.” And these were the people I was interested getting connected with. Things changed because I made myself appealing for people to connect with and showed the value that I bring to the table.

Do you wish to engage with other executives as a CEO executive and as a professional?

Would you like to network with other potential business partners or get connected with top-level executives?

Then, present yourself in a way that they will find you appealing.

These individuals are drawn to brilliance. They are drawn to high quality. They are drawn to deliberateness. As a result, the quality of what you put out there must reflect this. Not only what you put out there, but also how you put it out there – your content, design, and images.

I’m emphasizing this since many people have missed out on opportunities because they don’t do things the right way.. So, if you want to have a global audience, please make yourself attractive enough that they will want to connect with you.

If you don’t get this right and then go out there looking to connect, you’ll come off as an attention-seeker or someone who is desperate to connect with people. But it’s easier when they regard you as a top person based on their perception of you and what you’re putting out there. So, position yourself as a person of value so that others would want to interact with you.

2) BE PROACTIVE

The next tip is to be proactive. You’ve done your homework, put your best foot forward, and everything. Some people will still be unaware of your existence, and it is up to you to contact them.

You have to integrate them into your own ecosystem. And because your ecology is such that these folks have never heard of you, you must bring them into a space where they can see what you do even without speaking directly to them. Following them on Facebook and engaging on their posts will cause them to check you out and see the fantastic things you do.

Alternatively, you can add them on WhatsApp, where they can see your status and what you’re up to. Unconsciously, they recognize your worth even before you say a word.

You might even be friends on Facebook, and they see your posts. They might not even engage but just seeing the quality of the stuff you put out, they will get the understanding that this person is someone I want to connect with.

3) COMMUNICATE ON A PERSONAL GROUND

These aren’t regular networking recommendations like “dress well” and “be a conversation starter.” All of these factors are crucial, but when it comes to your personal brand, you should be deliberate. The first is about positioning, while the second is about reaching out (proactiveness). The third thing is to communicate on personal ground – stop sending broadcast messages!

You can connect and communicate remotely now that the internet has made it so much easier. Now, look around the community you’re in to see who you can connect with.

When I participate in high-ticket programs, which cost hundreds of thousands, I’m not just there for the knowledge; I’m also there for the network. And because I’m in that program, it’s like a leveling field for everyone, even individuals far above you. They just regard you as an equal, and this is your opportunity to reach their inbox. When I enter those types of networks, because they are usually close-knit, I go to their inbox and say “hi.”

I’m quite particular; I don’t send a broadcast message to everyone, and you shouldn’t either. I introduce myself and say, “I’m delighted to meet you. My name is Blessing from this platform, and I’ve seen…” I make certain that it is suited to them.

Since this is uncommon, people are frequently taken aback by it. Additionally, the fact that you tailored that message just for them makes them feel valued and like you want to communicate with them. They will connect when you do that, and since you have integrated them into your ecosystem, you can now save each other’s phone numbers. Now that they see the value you bring to the table, they might discover other reasons why they would want to interact with you.
